The Royal Sussex Lodge 342 was named after the Duke of Sussex (pictured below) who was the Grand Master at the time when it was first formed, in 1814. Ever since then the Lodge has been holding Masonic meetings in Portsmouth, and the Lodge currently meets at the Phoenix Lodge Rooms in High Street, Old Portsmouth, close to St Thomas’s Church (Portsmouth Cathedral) on the third Wednesday of each month from October to May.
